I apologise! I am new here also though I have already posted elsewhere on this site which is likely inappropriate. I am Jim 48 from Bristol UK, late diagnosed with Aspergers early in my forties, having received a slew of incorrect diagnoses prior (and indeed since!). I like music, poetry, art and am interested in autism and mental health. I am also a small youtuber (Jimberry and the Couscous). Thank you all for having me, apologies once more for not introducing myself here first prior to posting! All the best to everyone at wrongplanet. Dear Autistic Elders, I have very much been enjoying the blog linked in your signature 'Old Lady with Autism'?. We have much in common though I have always related more to the expression of autism in females over that of males despite being male myself! I have followed though I am very sad (or exhausted/hungry.. I struggle greatly to discriminate between these states). You see I have a great need a sense of urgency for completeness and as I read and scrolled more and more emerged and I was increasingly less able to concentrate and beating myself up and getting more and more stressed that I may not complete the page! I think I got as far as a blog titled 'Autistic Neurology' without a moments break and then i reflected that I was not retaining much anymore and remembered your references to self care... That gave me sufficient excuse to stop though now I am very concerned I may not find the stopping point so that I might return and complete such a wonderful, insightful and (to me) highly relatable blog. I have no idea whether a need for completeness is a feature on my autism and I really do not wish to be critical in any regard as the reading was for the most part utterly thrilling. I would however be extremely grateful if the blog was divided into linked pages (perhaps it is and I failed to proceed far enough?). Thank you again. And I apologise if my one tiny criticism is inappropriate or unreasonable in any way! All the best to you. I hope very much I can find my place and continue at a later date! For now however I feel defeated and that I have let both of us down. Kind regards, Jim

Thank you for the very kind words and also the suggestion about linking each blog. I have thought that would make the blog more usable but have no idea about how to go about that as my computer/internet skills are very limited and I don't have the $$ to pay somebody else to set up a more complicated blog, maintain it, etc. I am a very one person low skill, low budget sort of operation. I am glad you are finding the info there useful and relatable. I get little feedback and have no idea for the most part of whether I am reaching people or being useful at all. I will keep working at trying to learn new skills, for the most part my interest is not in computer stuff but in learning about autism (and I have a very strong autistic tendency to want to share info ) Best wishes, glad you are here! I know what a difference finding out about my autism made in my life, I wish that same relief and betterment of life for all hidden autistic individuals.

oh, First time ever on a video, I was not at all as I had imagined myself. That was a relief because I had imagined much worse. They say autistic folks are very self unaware. I guess that is true. Thanks for the good wishes, you have a great day too!
