Hi everyone! 
Well, I've just joined WP and thought I'd introduce myself!
My name is Michaela, I'm 17 and I received my diagnosis of Asperger's today! It is unfortunate that I wasn't diagnosed when I was younger, as life has proved very tough and perhaps if I'd been diagnosed, I would have had some help and support. But I am relieved to have been diagnosed, as ever since I suspected having it, wanted to know straight away!
I live in Surrey, in the south east of England, and I am at sixth form college, studying Performing Arts, English Language and Literature and Film Studies (although I will probably drop that next year). I have a job as a ride attendant at Thorpe Park, which I ab-so-lute-ly LOVE! Theme parks are one of my obsessions, you see, along with Harry Potter, Doctor Who, David Tennant, David Thewlis (brilliant actor!), The Simpsons, computers, the internet, and computer games. My nickname I chose through my favourite ride at Thorpe Park (Detonator), which is a 115ft Megadrop (tower ride).
Being an Aspie, I am very quiet much of the time, yakking on about special interests when I do talk, and keeping myself to myself. I do, however, have my crazy, hyper moments!
One last thing...I also have many signs of Attention-Deficit Disorder, and will need to wait until I go back to college in September to find out if I have it or not, as a teacher has to fill out a questionaire, and so do me and my mum.
Hope I haven't gone on too much!

I went to Thorpe Park recently with a friend and I saw Stealth. I thought it looked physically impossible. I wouldn't even allow myself near the que!

I'm glad that you got what you wanted, the official diagnosis.
I remember when I was going to get my diagnosis with my Mother who was coming with me. I was trying to make up excuses to not go to the doctors office, because I thought the doctor was going to question me 
She did, but not intensely.
I was 15 when I received an official diagnosis of Aspergers, and am only 16 now!

That's good you got a diagnosis at your age. Most people don't. As a 19 year old who was diagnosed two weeks ago, I think I am particularly lucky. I am a fellow Brit and I LOOOOVE Doctor who but not as much as sugar... Hello anyway...

Welcome to Wrong planet! What ride do you run at Thorpe park? Is it tidal wave? My mum and uncle went on it and they looked so funny when they got off
