Hi just wanted to introduce myself first. I'd like to post about a book on a difficult topic - mistreatment of autistic children by peers and parents.

I'm thinking of doing a topic-thread about a book on the common horrible mistreatment of autistic children from early on to 18.

Somehow I do not think that the subject will pull in a lot of readers. You might rename it as TERROR ON THE INSIDE. A first hand account of the terrors of existing in a different world.

Welcome to WP! I hope you find it a comfortable place to visit.

And, as far as the book goes, it might be important to note that our experiences vary from individual to individual. Being stranded on the Wrong Planet (Earth) is necessarily stressful but how hostile the locals seem depends upon which locals you end up stuck with.

As long as you stick to valid facts, there should be no problem.

It is when personal accounts veer off into hyperbole and vicious diatribes against all and sundry that interest drops off.
