Hi everyone, im new here (duh!) & thought id have a go at introducing myself, im not very good at introductions, please bear with me.

Im 20 years old, i live in Kent, in the U.K & got diagnosed with aspergers at around 13-14. I go to a club with other people with disabilities & i have a girlfriend.

I have an obsession with world war two, especilly Germany & the German air force (Luftwaffe) of that time, i think it's intresting how Germany was so strong at the begining & by the end was war ravaged & crushed.

At the moment i dont have a job, i work volentairily at a computer shop in town & try to go as much as i can however i do get nervous & end up having a weak stomach (i'll say no more on that!). Due to the goverment situation in the U.K it looks like im going to be forced into work before long, im getting very nervous about that. Im also considering moving out & getting a flat but have no idea where to start lol.

So yeah, that's me, sorry ive gone on a bit.

Welcome to WP,hope you enjoy posting here.Your girlfriend might get something out of joining as well(even if she isnt AS)to understand more about AS.Good luck with the jobs.I live in America and always thought it was much easier to get on "the dole?" in England, especially with a disability.Guess the "times they are a changin"?I was interested in WW2 at your age, too, but more learning about the concentration camp survivors.

Nice to meet you, Zerstorer :).

I like WWII mostly naval and marine action of the US in Pacific due to one of my grandfathers served in the Navy aboard U.S.S Franklin CV-13.

OMG, Krex, I was obsessed with the concentration camp survivors since I was 10 (and still am). Are you into the camps, the "extreme experience" and that too? And what about you, Zerstorer? Welcome, Zerstorer! How do you get along with the people in that club? Are you close friends? I'm very interested in how people with different oddities or disabilities react with each other... I keep being reminded of the Order of the Phoenix in Harry Potter for some reason! Do stay and post a lot! Or show us something better! :D

Man, I see here the smartest and strongest men that have ever lived. But goddamnit, all this potential, and you guys are squandering it. We're the middle children of history, man. No purpose or place. We have no Great War. No Great Depression. Our Great War's a spiritual war; our Great Depression is our lives. The government is afraid of us; they're pushing us down, squandering our potential. So I say, screw them; we don't need them. f**k the law; f**k punishment. If the government doesn't like us, so be it!

I was interested in the human desire to survive.Being suicidal at an early age,I was always amazed by other peoples ability to with stand such abuse and still desire to live.I read an autobiography by a women named "Taunanbaum?" when I was about that age,I dont recall the name, but the book left an impression.I think I have had a jewishphillia since I fell in love with Spock and Dustin Hoffman(in Little Big Man).

Was it Frieda Tenenbaum? She was 10 years old at Auschwitz-Birkenau so I really identified with her, because when I was 10 I imagined myself at Auschwitz.

I also remember feeling left out and a bit embarrassed once when I was visiting my cousins during Hanukkah and one of them told another guest that I was Christian. I was also a bit jealous when I watched this movie called Holocaust in which a group of Jews in the Warsaw ghetto, trying to escape after the uprising through a sewer, walked through it together singing some Jewish song, then held hands as they were shot. I doubted we would have seen that here, with the people I grew up with/around.
