Hello! My name is Sarah. I was recently diagnosed and it makes so much sense to me.

I live with my big sister in St Albans. I don't have a job. I used to work in a cafe but it was too difficult.

I don't really have any friends so I hope I can make some here

Welcome. People around here are generally pretty cool. I haven't been here very long, but it already feels like the folks here are like my extended family. Well, the extended family that I've got if people would bother getting evaluated for ASD.

Thank you! I stumbled onto the sexual sections and did not like them, so I will not go there again.

What does your username mean? Have you retired from being retired?

What does my user name mean? Mostly it means I didn't plan ahead!

I am happily retired so I thought I might work that into my username when I registered. But I did not prepare a list of possible usernames to try. My first few attempts were rejected (presumably some other happily retired person got them before me) and I ended up thrashing around trying to get the system to accept something. The first username the system accepted was "Double Retired" so that's who I am.

And, technically, I have retired twice. For more than a decade I had a full-time job plus a part-time side job (not too much time involved in it). I stuck it out in each of them long enough to retire.

P.S. I was unhappy a lot. I am so happy to be retired!
