Hello! I've just joined the site. I'm 25, Canadian, and I go by Pickle or gloomaglisten. Not sure how active I'll be on here; I'm not very good at being a forum user and am quite nervous...but I will try. I was diagnosed with autism just a couple of weeks ago (I'm currently in the hospital) and I'm still worried that I'm actually just faking it. I do also have ADHD though, and I'm confident in that at least. I'll try to participate in discussions going forward...and hopefully have something more interesting than this to say

Welcome! And best of hopes and prayers for your hospital visit!
I'm Aurura, and I get it. I'm still fairly new here myself, and well, I tend to be all over a new experience and then kinda fade out after a good while. It's just what I've always done in the past. But this is a Forum that's truly important to me, and it took a lot to find it. The community here is warm and kind. So I plan to be here for quite a long while.

I've learned about my Autism for the first time just weeks ago. In my case, it brought great relief to my life. I'm re-learning myself, and have had such an eye-opening experience with my uncovered Autism. Truly, it's always been me, so there isn't some huge difference, but my newfound awareness of how I process things and why, what I am/am not sensitive to, and the things I do which are actually stimming (just a few examples) have been astounding to learn for me.

Please feel free to share what you're going through. You've got a lot of support here. And have fun! It's pretty nice here. <3

Welcome aboard. There's a lot of us with the ASD+ADHD diagnosis.

Welcome to WP! I hope you find it a nice place to hang out.

I was diagnosed Autism Spectrum Disorder, Level 1 (Mild) in 2019, when I was 64. I am not ADHD but my bride is (when I suggest she get the Autism upgrade she says she doesn't want it).

This is the only Internet forum I've ever used so I can't compare, but I find this to be a nice place to visit. And definitely don't worry about whether or not what you say is interesting. There are entire sections of WP where being interesting is not required, but all parts of WP require us to be reasonably nice.
