Hello- have recently put together a lifetime of signs that I may have autism. Therapist (who can do testing) agrees she does see it, but had not realized that I had difficulty connected to it.

I am not seeking an official diagnosis. I see it as a useful set of operating assumptions. All the way back, I can see differences that make sense placed in the lens of autism. Also feel a very strong affinity to people I have known (students, patients, a former partner, and a cousin) to people who are autistic.

Look forward to reading about others' experiences; I think it can help normalize what I have going on.

I dunno. I got my official diagnosis right before the Pandemic started, so me and my diagnosis have not gone out much together, yet.

It was AQ that convinced me my suspicions might not be my imagination and motivated me to seek a formal assessment.

Any way, welcome to WP! I hope you decide it is a nice place to visit.
