I'm a little bit nervous to write a hello topic here as my previous experiences in forums (that are not Programming related) have been anything short of negative (most people on forums.ffonline.com have little stomach for unorthodox or unusual perspective on subjets that are considered taboo by the ignorant masses).
Umm...a little bit about myself:
1.- I'm a fellowship member in the UNAM's Virtual Reality Department in DGSCA.
2.- I want to make my own videogames and I don't speculate on much else about my future (not until I finish this particular dream, do I dare approach any alternative goals in life).
3.- I lived 10 years in the U.S. (5 years in N.J. and another 5 in Md.)
4.- I am, as a result of my frustration with societies infinite contradictions, supremely iconoclastic in the sense that I don't see the point to taboo or tradition (once you reduce them to their essence, the rest is just about as redundant as getting drunk on a saturday night).
5.- I like to wonder about what could've been, what could be and what there should be.
6.- Often enough (to the dismay of many) I ignore most of the little things people around me take an interest in...because it bores me. As a result I absolutely hate all soap operas for being so dissappointing and predictable ("Lost" and "Schindlers List" should be textbook for soap opera screenwriters).
7.- I'm Mexican-American and obviously proficient enough in both spanish and english.

I have a list of Saints (or JP's Saints as I refer to them) who are a list of mostly people who have been diagnosed with Aspergers (to my great surprise). All of them affected our world in a tremendous way, positively and negatively (you may see Adolf Hitler at the bottom of the list).

There are several things more about me but that's all I can muster up in 15 minutes (I'm supposed to be working on a proprietary version of osgODE).

So I'm hoping to discuss ideas here and have some measure of fruitful I/O from some here.

Howdy, been more then a few years since I was in your City. Had a good time at the Zona Rosa, but spent most of my time in Quad. This is a pretty good site to get relaxed in, I don't think you'll find your past forum like experiences to be exactly the same here. Some really amazing people here. Take your shoes off and rest a spell. Sorry to hear you had to stay 5 years in Jersey though

soap operas It's too bad the old Queen For a Day shows from the 50's are lost to history. If you watched just one of those, you could have turned off the vast majority of TV to this day, you would have seen it all. Classic TV, the formula timeless.

Thanks Postpaleo, Richie.

(Jersey seems to have garnered a bad rep since) :P

Jeresy has been picked on in this country for a very very long time  Watch my sig, I'll change it soon. The quote that is coming is a little older then our life time. I'll never admit to writing this but there are parts of it that are really more then nice. I don't really recall how much time or how many project I did all over the State. The company I worked for I'm sure isn't the largest engineering company in the world, but some of their projects sounded like they were on very good terms with the World Bank. The main office was in East Orange and I did Archaeology for them. From that perhaps you might see why I was more then a little interested in your culture. I spent about 2 or 3 months in Guadalajara in the late 60's and it still wasn't enough. I don't even like cities, but Guad, was something else again.

I'll add the quote from Gracie Allen here. I never really know what I'll end up doing, so this way I've got my bases coverd

"What a wonderful thing to be conscious. I wonder what the people in New Jersey do?"

What?

You mean you didn't regard Mi Bella Gorda and Mujer de Madera as works of art?!

 Welcome.
