Hello! New here, but not new to the website. I used to be a member a very long time ago. Just wanted to reintroduce myself!
Was wondering if there are any other married Apsies or spectrum folks here as well? I am married to a NT guy for around 11 years now :D i also work full time and seem to mask most days. I blend easily but it does come with a heavy price of being perpetually exhausted mentally at times. I consider myself spiritual not so much religious and just recently started to dive into meditations, which seem to help with my ASD and ADHD. Nice to meet you all..
ps: some of fav things include: 8)
video games
collecting pinecones and rocks i find along my day
drawing geometrical patterns
watercolors
medical knowledge and psy stuff
collecting stuffed animals
and anything to do with all kinds of fluffy and furry animals

Welcome back to WP! I hope you stay, this time.

Yes, I'm an Aspie and've been married since 2000...she is not on the Autism Spectrum, however, she is ADHD. I used to work full-time but retired in 2011...I really like retirement, I am so much happier now!

Does de-facto count?

We've been together 35 years in September, although I'm not sure we'll still be after the selling of the farm and transitioning to retirement.

Married for 26 years. Wife is ADHD. I highly recommend meditation for the ND.

Welcome back to Wrong Planet.

I have Asperger's Syndrome, or Aspie for short. I have just had my 50th year wedding anniversary. I think my wife is an NT but sometimes it is a little hard to know. She is a talker and has a gazillion friends. I am very much an introvert, so I always believed she was an NT. But I could be wrong.

welcome home! We have been married for over 40 years now, and at first I believed my husband was NT (and I believed that for years, until I retired) then at age 68, I learned I am autistic and got official diagnosis. Now I strongly suspect my husband is autistic too, but he would never admit it, he is too afraid of stigma and is afraid to look closely at himself . That's OK, we made it this far and I expect we will be together til the end. Yes, aspies can be married and make it work. Each partner needs to work to find what makes the other person happy and try to give those things to them. that way both are going to be satisfied with the results. :) <3 <3 :)

I'm married to one. It's been a challenge but a rewarding challenge and one I don't regret in the least because I found someone with a heart of gold!!

Hello there. I am 34 female and I have been married for 12 years to my neurotypical hubby. I didn't know I had autism when we got married. Since I found out it has helped our relationship so much. As now he realizes im not difficult I just have issues with how I communicate.
