Im new to this site and also to the aspie world, for that matter. While Ive been aware for a long time that Im an introvert (see here for an amusing article on the topic http://www.theatlantic.com/doc/200303/rauch), my not entirely amusing experiences since I got married a year ago made me take a closer look at myself. I started with depression, an old friend, and came across bipolar disorder before discovering Aspergers syndrom, which seems to fit (if not suit) me best. As I dont (at least not yet) want to end up in an asylum like my new favourite author, Robert Walser, clearly one of the gang, I welcome any advice on how to navigate this planet full of aliens without losing what little is left of my sanity. A quiet and peaceful day to you all!

AlexTheRat, my daughter, Smelena, married over a decade ago. It is only since her boys were identified as on the spectrum this year that she recognised her husband's condition. He doesn't want to know about it but it has made a big difference to her. They have never been so happy.

Is your wife NT? Would she like to join the forum too?
