I've had a couple of profiles that I have barely used over the years, but I'm going to try and use the site more consistently now. I'm currently working as a paleontologist, but am interested in getting into medicine and wildlife conservation. I like animals in general, but especially reptiles and birds, as well as genre fiction in tv, movies, and books. I'm getting more into audiobooks now.

Once a slinky has eaten its own tail it can no longer walk downstairs.

Welcome back to Wrong Planet.

In another post you wrote, "My grandfather served as a sonar technician on a nuclear submarine in Korea and Vietnam."
He sounds like an interesting grandfather. My father was a soldier in the Second World War. He was one of the first 10 waves of ships carrying soldiers to attack and invade Japan in the final days of the war. It was a death sentence. But the U.S. had dropped two atomic bombs on Japan and it brought a quick end to the war just as his boat was going to land.

So in a sense I am an Atomic Bomb baby because if the U.S. did not drop the bomb I would not have even been born.

Hey Slinky I'm fairly new here myself. Hopefully we can both use this space to be more comfortable with ourselves.

Paleontology is always a fun subject to hear about. You'll have to expand more on what it is you research and discover (unless that's all trade secrets).

This is a level of profound I'm not sure I'm ready for yet.
