Hello everyone! I'm just taking the chance to post and say hello. I'm mid 30s and suspect I have Autism. I had the ADOS assessment today, and the assessor said I did evidence and exhibit sensory behaviours but also mentioned about possibly have ADHD so I’m not sure where I stand with a potential diagnosis so I hope it’s okay I’ve joined the forum and am posting here.

I feel that I've been struggling a bit more as I've gotten older and I’ve spent most of my professional life lone working. With those jobs drying up, I’m finding it so much harder to work alongside a bunch of colleagues (despite some of them being lovely, supportive people). I figured I’d try to find a place I fit in better, that I could get advice from and hopefully help others. I look forward to meeting/getting to know you guys.

Welcome to WP, no matter what...if any...diagnoses you eventually get.

Though mixing Autism and ADHD sounds tiring to me, though some people have both.

My diagnosis is Autism Spectrum Disorder, Level 1 (Mild) with an additional note that I also satisfy the criteria previously associated with Asperger's Syndrome. My bride is ADHD, however.

I was lucky enough to save enough money to retire at 59.

Figure out ways of reducing stress. These days I usually avoid shopping on busy days.

Wolfhawk17, Welcome to Wrong Planet.

That is a strange name that you picked. It seems like it might relate to something. So I looked it up and found Episode 17 of Wolfhawk.

People apply a lot of names to their condition nowadays. But I am old school before they invented all these strange names such as ADHD and Autism. The only name that sticks in my mind is a condition called Asperger's Syndrome, or in short terms I am an Aspie.
