Hey, My name is Megan, I'm 15, Live in Canada and I have recently been diagnosed with TS and OCD. I like almost all Music and Movies and some TV shows and books.

Well now that you know a little about me I wanted to ask something.
I think I may have AS, in fact i've been reading about it and apart from a few small things it made everything seem clear and the more i read the more sense it makes... but I don't know who to tell :? I don't want to tell my parents because when I mentioned TS a few years ago and because I didn't tic around them they didn't believe me and thought it was just something I thought it was cool because someone had it  but my teacher brought it up to them and eventually caught on but these days teachers don't know about let alone look for that stuff. anyway ym question is who should i ask/tell about it because schools been hard for me but i want to do good and if a teacher or someyhing would bring it up they'd get me diagnosed. Should I talk to one of my teachers or a guidance person? How would I bring it up with a teacher, I'm not good at talking or thinking about how to talk. Is there a point anyway?

anyway, i have to go now.

I would tell your school counselor. I believe they would know what to do. And it wouldn't hurt to tell your parents I think.

And welcome to WP!

I would talk to your school counsellor and parents.

Ask your parents if they can organise for an assessment.

You could contact your local autism society and ask them for psychiatrists/pscyhologists in your local area that specialise in autism/asperger's.

I am the proud Mum of 3 sons with Asperger's.

Well its not that i don't want to tell them, I don't know how, with a Guidance person its easier because they'll probably know what it is and everything, but my parents wouldn't know and they'd just hear autism, thatys why i think it'd be better to talk to guidance first and ask them to talk to my parents, i suck at words
