Relieved newbie

Hi all,
I can't express how relieved I am to have found this community. I find the tone of the conversations refreshing as people aren't expected to talk inane babble and touchy-feely stuff. I, like a lot of you, hate small talk and prefer to talk about things in a more literal way than most people. I tend to feel like Dr Who, an alien, able to fit in when needed but preferring to observe and comment on the human species as if I am not a part of their society.
I suppose I have taken my lack of need of society to extremes in the past, I have spent 20 years traveling around Australia with my pack donkeys, camping and exploring, just working for a couple of months a year to feed myself. I have decided now to settle down and now I have my own business printing t-shirts and gifts and I like it so far.
