Hi everyone. I was just recently diagnosed as an aspie (I'm 30), and in the intervening time I've carried nearly every other aspie-misdiagnoses possible.

Aspie seems to fit, in terms of all the puzzle pieces that never fit in the other labels I was labeled. I'm not sure I belong here, in this forum/community or any forum/community, but at least everyone here uses capitalization and punctuation.

I've been labeled OCD/depression/GAD/social phobia/borderline, until I found a psychologist who saw alot of AS-traits in me. I've always accepted those labels, but, I've always thought that there is something else, something that I'm not aware of, until I found out about AS. :P

Hope you'll like it here. though. :) You will fit here. Welcome! (I've recently joined the forces here)

Hi AzureFlame,
I was diagnosed six years ago at the age of 35, so I can relate. I think we have all been misdiagnosed/labled at one point in time or another. In my case, it wasn't so much that I was always being misdiagnosed so much as the fact that no one seemed to be able to give me an accurate diagnosis until six years ago when I met my therapist. No sweat; sometimes I come up with less than articulate posts when I'm groggy too. Welcome to WP.
