I am 15 years old but I think like I am two-and-forty and act like I am seven. I am most inclined toward language arts and plan for an academic career in that area. My favorite writers are Gunter Grass, Charles Dickens, and Primo Levi. My favorite sort of music is Japanese pop. My favorite non-earth planets are Saturn and Neptune. Other people describe me first as "smart," followed shortly by"weird."

Two psychiatrists evaluated me. Both are sure that I have Asperger's, OCD, and meet the independent diagnostic criteria for ADHD, even though I lack the neurological characteristics of the latter. One psychiatrist thinks I have Tourette's, too, but the other believed that my tics were acute anxiety reactions (i.e. they were stims). I take Prozac to control the anxiety. I did not expect it to work, yet it did.

I know the feeling, Dickens spoke to many. the inner voice that sees all with over formal humor.

A lot of Japan here, music, art, games, and a lot of "smart." "weird" seems to fall away.

Anxiety reactions fail when there is nothing to react to. We are no two alike, but with much in common.

You will find many here that share your point of view, your interests, for this is your homeworld.

Thats cool, I can relate a bit as I'm physically 22, inteclectually in my forties or fifties, and mentally 5. Dx AS and OCD at 13, mistakenly dx ADHD at 7. I love Charles Dickens, and think pretty most people here have been described as smart and weird, it all falls into the "Brilliant eccentrics" view of us. Welcome to the gang.
