Hi All,

My name is Mel. My daughter Sophia has just been diagnosed with aspergers at 29 months. Sophia can count frontwards & backwards, say her ABC's frontwards & backwards. She is starting to sound out & spell words but she can't find her nose.
Clearly I'm going to need a whole lot of schooling.
Looking forward to "meeting" everyone.

wanted to say "hi". I have a 6 year old autistic daughter. Theres lots of nice people and good info here, hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Hi SophiasMom,
I was diagnosed six years ago at the age of 35, so I had a lot longer time to wonder what on earth was going on with me before I was finally diagnosed properly. Sounds like your daughter is very bright--a real doll. She obviously has a great Mom! Welcome to WP and be sure to check out the parent's forum.

From a new to wrong planet, parent of a 12 year old aspie. The beauty of an aspie child far outweighs the stereotyped negatives.
