I'm in a class right now where we talked about Mobius Transforms within the context of Complex number Calculus ("Complex Analysis"). There's some amazing stuff in math that gets hidden to the eyes of the masses because after the trauma of high school mathematics education, most people leave thinking that they hate the subject, whereas is doesn't really start to get interesting until Calculus, and it doesn't get the most interesting until after that.
It's almost as if the entire society was just taught the alphabet over and over and over from elementary school until late high school, and never taught to read--they were just forced to memorize the letters, and then when they leave high school, after learning the alphabet over and over for 12 years, they're left thinking that they hate poetry. It's a sad state of affairs.

Hi Mescalero,
That was fascinating!! Thank you for showing me something so beautiful that also opened my eyes to a new way of seeing.
Jason Wilkes,
I have always been terrible at math and was never able to comprehend why. You're comments are eye opening. Let's hope there are some math instructors who truly are paying attention and will follow suit!
