Hi All,

its quite funny how i stumbled across this. i was talking to someone about all sorts off stuff and somehow i mentioned all those compulsive habits i used to have (some of which i still have). he said (in a non offensive) way that i have some mental problems or so (i heard that from many people before when they discovered all my compulsive habits). after that i decided to read up on compulsive behaviour - then i read about asperger's and suddenly i felt that my life would make a lot more sense and everything suddenly seems so explainable. not only my compulsive habits, but also why i can't seem to establish any meaningful relationships with women, find true friends - up until i was 17 maybe due to me beeing obsessed with computer programming as well. 3 years ago i moved and got into a really nice group of people and they (probably unknowingly) showed me to open up more but now i had to move again (going to college) and now i seem to fall in my old patterns again (which i don't want!).

i would love to know what is or is not wrong with me - but i don't know where i can get decent help or diagnosis - i hate going to some doctor and they just doing their job telling me something they are happy with (i don't even know as what i classify as, if even). any suggestions?

thanks for reading this :)

Welcome to WP :D Hang around here, do some reading, ask some questions if you are comfortable with that. I hope you find the answers you are looking for.

Yes, hello.

Did one of us happen to mention to you the 'initiation ritual?' (I just made this up). But I think we should consider instating initiation rites...maybe. I know - inductees could run around the Wrong Planet naked, just like a fraternity gag. What do you think Tim_Tex?

Ok, this might not be such a great idea. Nevermind.

Anyway, hello mcover.
