hey all, i heard about Asperger's a week or so ago talking with someone who's sister was just diagnosed, i recently wiki'd it and realized i really do fit the profile for someone with Asperger Syndrome. i have trouble speaking, trouble with social interaction, unstable motor skills, heck i can really just be downright awkward at times. i have a propensity for obsession, i notice all sorts of little details, and i can be very sensitive. i joined here so i can learn more about this syndrome, if i really have it for that matter, and how to deal with it.

thank you all so much for the welcomes, its nice to see a community of so many friendly people who know what i've been going through after years of thinking i was just strange. for a long time i thought it was all in my head and they were problems i just had to overcome like everyone else, this really got me down.

also, i was wondering, what sort of professional help can i find for this, or should i even bother with that?

You'll find that you can blame a lot of your depression on Aspergers. It goes with the territory.
