Hello, my name is Ashley - I am a 23 year old bloke from England (and yes - that is a blokes name over here).

How I was diagnosed was actually quite funny I suppose in many ways, watching an episode of Boston Legal where it was mentioned just caused me to look it up on the internet (I do this at time - I have been known to spend hours randomly link-clicking my way through Wikipedia). I noticed that much of what was written would explain why I was the way I was - so I thought I would get myself to the doctors.

Unfortunately (or not) I decided long ago to hide myself from the world completely - only really leaving the house to go to work or visit my girlfriend. But both my friend and my girlfriend are completely understanding, no one at work knows about it and only one of my parents.

On a personal note however, I am a huge fan of heavy metal (to the extent I actually get trivia questions by text off people because they believe me an encyclopedia) and music in general. I have 4 guitars and can play guitar, piano, bass, drums and double bass. I own around 120 CDs, but as I have only had money for that since the start of the year I'm not too ashamed of it. Previous to that I had around 60GB MP3 - but now I have money I refuse to download.

Forgive me if I'm rambling - it took me about 2 weeks to get the courage to even write on here in the first place. Anyway - thats my hello.
