Didn't know what other forum this could go in -- so my rationalization is that I'm trying to get to know who, if anyone, has the same issue :)

All my life I've had problems with doorknobs.

1) I understand what they look like.
2) I understand what they are.
3) I understand how they operate.

... But for the life of me, I can NOT manage to turn them BEFORE I try to go through the (closed) doorway. One out of every five closed doors I end up kissing while holding onto the not fully-turned doorknob.

Anyone else share my issue?

Mr Bean? Stan Laurel?

I don't walk into doors, but I sometimes catch my shoulder or hip going around corners.

I don't walk into doors, but crowded spaces make me very anxious. And I don't like revolving doors. I hate turnstiles.

Duce, I have the doorknob problem too :D I also misjudge distance and hit my hips or shoulders on doorways, or tables...or the beer cooler at work...I also am quite "accident prone" or just the biggest clutz in the world...I try very hard to NOT be clutzy but I still have my share of mishaps, you know falling up and down stairs, tripping over kiddie gates I've used when training my dogs, trip over tons of stuff actually...wow, sad....ha....and I'm a menace to society driving at night, so I try to refrain from night driving unless I have to drive at night.

I once had a doorknob problem when (I felt) I was very busy, but it went.
I also occasionally surprise myself by having bruises on my legs, of which I have no recollection. I do know I daily bump into things, so probably acquired thus. (Waai, I created a short post) :D :) :P (these are happy faces. I'm happy)

i only do it when i know the door has a closer and not ever used or not used to the door yet, i would use body momentum to help push door open in case if facility owner cranked the spring on the closer all the way up.

Sometimes I try to turn the knob while pushing, failing to fully turn the knob, thereby getting intimate with the door. Most often while I'm rushing. Though most of the doors I go through are pull, not push doors so it doesn't happen to often.
