I've decided to give this site another try since the only reason I wasn't here was that I felt out of place when the topic turned to religion. I'm going to try to not let it bother me this time.

WB!
I don't know exactly what has happened in those religion topics in the past. I haven't been on WP that long. But I've noticed that sometimes feelings tend to run high in those topics. I hope you'll be able to shrug things off a little better now.

When in doubt, ask an autistic. Chances are, they're obsessed with what you need to know.

I left for a week or two once and that was one of my reasons. It doesn't bother me when people persistently bring up religion, but when every thread contains several posts connecting the topic to religion and people start evangelizing, I start to feel like I can't relate to this site and I should move on. If I wanted to talk about religion, I'd go to the Politics & Religion forum.

I guess it makes sense that some people would try to relate every topic to religion, since many aspies are obsessive and naturally, some are obsessed with religion. I actually enjoy learning about different religions in a context in which I don't have to defend my own beliefs.

Anyway, there seems to be a good mix of points of view and attitudes towards religion here now. It's been a long time since I've seen anyone proselytizing outside of the Religion forum. So welcome back!

Welcome back!

I'm very tolerant of different religions, because I have some odd beliefs. I'm curious to know what religion you are now.

Are you a B-52s fan? I am an 80s music fan in general.
