Hi, I joined because my father said he thinks I have Asperger's. I'm hoping to find out more and see how I can get examined.

Welcome,

And your father knows this because? Most have never heard of it, but it is a family thing.

Long story I guess, but the condensed version is that the mother of a family friend is a doctor who has dealt with Asperger's, and after having my "issues" described to her, said that she believes it is what I have.

Anyway, would anyone be able to point me in the right direction to finding a good local group or doctor or something to see about being tested for this? I have no idea what to do, but am anxious to find out if I can put a name to the problems I've had. Is there a web site for finding local resources for AS?
