Hey I'm 18 and not even sure that I have AS, but it might answer a few things.
For several years now I've thought there was something wrong socially for me. I try really hard but I cant seem to converse with people. I can hold formal conversations with adults but being 18, that kinda sucks. I've felt for a while now that I cant communicate well. Again I may not even have AS, I'm just trying to find the answer so I can find the solution. I want to be able to communicate normally. If you guys could tell me if I have it or not that would be great.

I just took the test that there is a link to on this forum and scored a 37. Is that test accurate?

Beaten to the post again by Tim...

Welcome to WP.

no test is entirely accurate - The online aspie quiz at;

http://www.rdos.net/eng/Aspie-quiz.php

is probably the best online test I've seen.

actually, the shape of the graph is probably the best indicator - post yours and I'll have a look.

Hi and welcome to the Aspie community, hoprfully your find some answers....

If you want to know if your on the Autism spectrum you could start with this test as suggested bygbollard above, which is a great start:
[Take The Official Aspergers AQ TEST http://asplanet.info/forum/index.php?topic=77.0]

As far as diagnosis, I believe that it a process that can take a while. You could start by reading some of the standard books, such as Tony Attwood's Aspergers Syndrome, in addition to the web as you are doing.
The Complete Guide to Asperger's - on line book info. nearly 400 pages read and enjoy
To read more click on link:

Then asking someone who knows you well and you trust to give their honest opinion along the lines of the questionnaires. If it still looks like AS, the next step should be an assessment by a clinician who has some knowledge of the area (you have to ask around), but this would cost.

Thanks for a look at the graph.

Your Talents, Compulsion, Activity Levels & Communications are fairly aspie but your NT Hunting seems to be throwing the graph off. Other than that, it's fairly similar to mine, and to most other aspies.
