I'm a newbie!

Thought I'd introduce myself. I've been lurking for a couple of days and decided to register. I'm a mom to 3 boys ages 17, 9, and 5. We live in Tx. I believe my 9 yo and my 5 yo have AS. My hubby and I took the 5 yo to a psychiatrist last week, and she told us it looks like AS. Since then, I have been going crazy reading everything I can find about it and I'm very sure that's what it is and I'm pretty sure my 9 yo has it, too. I also see a lot of things that look very familiar and would explain a lot of my tendencies throughout the years, but I'm not concerned about me right now. My biggest concern is getting my children the help that they need. This is all very new to me and I really have no idea what I'm doing, so please excuse me if I am very inquisitive. I just really need to talk to people who can relate to what our family is going through. I look forward to getting to know others here!

Check out the parents forum. There are many parents in similar situations to yours and will be able to offer you advice on what to do from here.

I've got two boys one 7yo aspie and the other a 4yo high functioning autism (which is almost aspie anyway). I'm an aspie myself - so my poor wife is the only "normal" person in our family.

Hi and welcome to the Aspie community...

I have 2 boys age 9 and 14, the 14 year old has just been diagnosed with NVL... I was diagnosed with aspergers July 2007 myself
