Hi, I'm new here. Under the guise of a pretty rubbish nickname, I'm an autistic guy from Britain who wishes to speak to others like me. Now that my primary motives are known, feel free to say something :D

EDIT: Arrrgh, why does HTML not work for me?!

Thank you!

It's nice to be able to talk to people like myself (I personally have a comparatively minor case of Asperger's) on here :D

Hello. I like your avatar. I thought this was a warning about a virus.

Hello, and welcome to WrongPlanet.

This place has been quite a source of comfort and learning for me; I hope that your experience will be just as fruitful.

My reading and research on Asperger's along with my life experience with what I believe is AS all tell me that there is no such thing as a minor case of Asperger's.

Those whose level of apparent symptoms are so camouflaged as to be mistaken for something else are subject to a life of confusion, humiliation, misunderstanding, and cruelty that is exponentially higher than someone who is more "obviously" affected. That is not to say that the "obvious" do not have their share of problems throughout life.

What I am saying is that a person whose symptoms are considered mild or not "obvious" might be called selfish, self-centered, rude, pedantic, insubordinate, anti-social (especially), aloof, distant, stuck up, or worse because people only see what's on the surface that affects their interaction with that person without knowing what goes on inside that person's head and without realizing that the person has a neurological difference that affects his or her ability to function in the social realm of everyday life.

Okay, I've said too much at this point. Funny...if we were to meet face-to-face, I would have no clue what to say to you.
