Hi, I've been lurking for over a year now...

26 male aspie living in vancouver, canada.

I'm sure I've got aspergers, dyspraxia, and CAPD. All the tests I can find say so, it fits better than anything else. I'm waiting for an assessment which I expect will confirm this.

I have varied interests, usually connected in some way.
- game development seems to be central. I do game design, code, art, webdev, ...
- history, especially technology, economics and civics. Think civ games.
- psychology is growing on me, especially typology. This grew out of game AIs, and analysing playing styles.
- management is growing on me. Goes well with economics and psychology.
- martial arts lately, especially mma/nhb. I've done some judo, I'll want to try other MAs.

Aiming to be an independent game developer, and grow my corporate empire from there.

Hi ghostpawn,

welcome to WP.

Oooh yay another person interested in psychology! :D
I have to say that i'm more interested in criminal psychology...like the minds of serial killers, serial bank robbers etc.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy posting here.

Good luck with the assessment.

Jivi:
Isn't Maya is mostly for 3d? Do you also do 2d? I'm aiming for 2d games at this point, partly due to hardware limitations, and also because I just like them better.

Brittany2907:
Criminal psychology is of some interest. Sociopaths and NPDs are very good at getting into management positions, which explains much of both government and corporate misbehaviour. We need better systems.

Maya is mostly 3d, eventually I would like to learn to design games in 3d, I want to use maya for special effects and background rendering (I still have a lot to learn) for my personal projects

Sounds like you'll do great with the goals you have with or without Asperger's. I'm still trying to figure my life out. Before I was diagnosed, I knew something was off about me. I read many of the symptoms since I was diagnosed from a book. Most of it is neurological, something you can't control emotionally.
