I'm 73. So many of you seem to be in your 20s. Maybe I should have used the name "Geezer?" Now that I'm here I marvel that it took me this long to get here and that I survived planet Earth. I was a college instructor, probably that was my salvation. I could indulge my obsessions for many years with few people getting wise to me and making a living from it! Incredible, in retrospect. Incredible in fact while it was going on. Married, Three children (none with signs of autism), six grandchildren (including three stepgranddaughters. I made my spouse's life hell for the first 25 of our 46 year marriage. Kids liked me though, and seemed to accept me for who I was. I got better at pretending as I got older but could say or do something inappropriate or insulting or bizarre about every six months. Pulled a real doozy in July 2007 then a week later heard Tim Page on NPR then read his New Yorker article "Parallel Play: Why I was strange" I said, "this is me."
So here I am.
