Yet another hi, hello etc

Hi!

I'm not sure if I have Asperger's or not - the online tests say yes, with consistently high scores, the cynic in me wonders if I'm searching for an "easy answer" to why I don't fit in to my peer groups. I'm not sure whether to seek a professional opinion or what effect that will have on my life, or... yeah.

But a lot of what I've read about Asperger's clicks with me, and a lot of what I've read on this forum over the past weeks I recognise, too (highly socially awkward, clumsy, difficulty reading people, bluntly honest, odd sense of humour, and lots more). So I thought I'd take the plunge, get an account, and say hello.

Welcome Caladria. I'm new to WP too.

The decision whether or not to seek professional help wasn't easy for me either. I finally did it and am glad I did. Learning that I indeed have AS, and that it meant I was simply different (and not that there was anything wrong with me) was a huge relief. So many things about my life that never made sense before make sense now. The knowledge has changed my life but in a positive way.

Whatever path you take (with or without professional guidance), good luck with it.
