I just signed up! I don't have aspergers, or at least I haven't been diagnosed and I don't know if I do or not. My real name is Matt, and I'm 20. I'm a beginning musician/composer of the avant-garde or experimental sort. I also listen to lots of music. I took my username from the title of a song by Sonic Youth.

Since I first heard about Asperger's I thought that sounds like me, but I didn't want it to be (no one really wants to have a label like that, especially since it's considered "weird"). But I think, if I do have it, it's possible that I could have gotten away without it being noticed because I'm pretty intelligent (I have good test scores and I got into a reputable university, although I did drop out after a couple years) and I've forced myself to experience a lot over the last few years (with lots of awkwardness, stress, and likely embarassment). I also didn't even try to interact with people until I was 17 and in my last year of high school. I always looked at the floor everywhere I went instead of looking up at people! Then when I tried to participate socially, I found it very frustrating.

Sorry if that was long, but I felt like I had to explain myself!
