Cervantes and I both live in Edmonton, and I'm sure that I heard a few others here also say they lived in Edmonton. How about we have a convention in Dr. Duncan's office or at the YMCA? We could meet in the lobby of the hospital near the door to the Psychiatry department, or outside the YMCA across from the City Centre Mall. (The YMCA that isn't under construction, not the other one near the mall). If you don't have friends but want them, and we have lots in common, maybe we can even hang out on a regular basis!

I love the irony of arranging a meeting, on a board for people with physically induced sociability problems.
:D

But it's still not a bad plan. ;)

that's the main reason the aspie power movement's plot to take over the world has not yet succeeded. the higher ups are all afraid to meet each other.

i think internet-arranged meetings are a wonderful way for folks like us to get some much needed social interaction, tho. after all, the hardest part is initiating contact... it's downhill from there (although there are a lot of trees).

Count me in too.

In fact, since I work at the U of A (in the academic
Department of Occupational Therapy), maybe I should
see what I can do about arranging a place, day, and time
for our mini-conference.

Let me know by pm or e-mail me at
[email protected] if you're
interested.

Yeah, any word?

BTW, my offer about helping lay the groundwork for this is
still "on"; pm me or e-mail me.

I just realized this thread was started over 7 months ago. I'm guessing AspieCon '07 never got off the ground.
