Hi im new. how many people on here are diagnosed with autistic spectrum disorders and how many are self-diagnosed/ non-aspergers people? Ive been diagnosed since i was around 11 probably. Although i went through a long period of trying to deny it. Anyone else do the same there?

I denied it a bit when in High School but I have accepted it as a part of me.

Hi french_immersion,

welcome to WP.

I was dx with aspergers with I was 15 which was almost 2 years ago. I denied it for the first few months but then realised that I had to accept it as who I am to get on with my life, so I did.

but its only now that im trying to decide whether i really am or not
