Hi. I'm new

I'm new here. I actually only found out I has Asperger's recently but my mom has known. I was looking at a Wikipedia article a while back and I thought it sounded like me. I asked my mom if she knew anything about it ans she said I have it. Maybe she told me years ago and I just didn't care because I younger and forgot all about it.

I have most the symptoms that I've read about so I don't feel the need to tell all of them but basically I find it very difficult to talk to people other than my family members. I'm just constantly nervous around other people and I just can't talk most of the time. Sometimes I have something I just really, really want to say that's actually pretty funny or interesting but I just can't do it. When I decide to just blurt it out it ussually comes out entirely different than I intend it to and everyone is ussally moved on to another conversation entirely and everyone's just like WTF are you still talkking about that for?

I've been always asked why I rarely talk, smile, or never laugh. I actually do laugh but I have this odd belly laugh that makes no noise and I think it generally look like I'm having a heart-attack or something.

Anyways, it's really depressing that I'm a Senior in HS and I didn't enjoy hardly any of it. And a few years ago my sister was having the time of her life. As much as I don't like school it's the one place to meet people and make some friends but now it's really too late. Although the way my grades are looking I might get one more opportunity. Last year I made a few friends and I felt a little more normal. But then they started egging my house every weekend, first time it was Halloween, so I just didn't really care thought oh well just a joke. But it happened every weekend and there are a lot of permanent scratches on our cars so my mom actually installed a camera. Then they camera was cut and the tape rewinds itself if it's not taked out in time. A lot of other stuff happened that I'd rather not point out. So, even though I can't stand these guys I'm a little more open now but I'm still very, very nervous and without friends. Anyways, any advice for my possible 2nd senior year?

You're not the only one who didn't get much out of high school, heck I'm in college now and I'm still not getting much better socially. I know that I have times when I can't say anything if my life depended on it, just remember that you aren't alone. Try to find people with the same interests as you. In my HS they weren't walking around and visible like most people are, they tended to stay in a certain area. Find other people who don't fit in and talk to them, they should be happy for the company.

Don't let it get you down too much, HS will be done before you know it.

That sucks that your house got egged! That happened to my house a few years ago but it wasn't my friends who did it, but my (adult) neighbour who I suspect she was mentally ill.
Sorry, I don't have any advice about school/college/uni...or wherever you attend as I don't go anywhere, myself. I'm sure lots of other people can offer advice, though.

I laughed about your belly laugh. I'm a snort laugher myself.
All the advice I can give you is that you will feel so much better when you get out of that prison of High School. What a time of misery that was for me. Now I'm happy and have a good life. How I got through it was by constantly reminding myself it was going to end.
If you do need to repeat some, could you do it at home?
