Hello, my name is Derek. I was diagnosed with mild asperger syndrom at a young age. I've always had it, and till recently, I didn't realize how much it actually affects me. Then recently, a whole bunch of stuff has happened to me and I'm having a lot of social problems and educational problems and physical problems which from my research on aspergers, could all be linked to it. I'm sure you'll hear more about my problems later on. The reason I joined was to talk to other people with aspergers about my problems and theirs. I sometimes feel like I'm the only person in the world with aspergers though, and this might help me. I dislike having aspergers, I wish I didn't. It affects me daily, and till recently I've been able to live with it, and now a whole bunch of stuff has happened and I'm going through a depression because of it, and I found this site on the wikipedia page for aspergers, and so I thought talking to other people with the same condition might help me feel better. I can't wait to get to know you all.

welcome to WP Nintenderek17, I read your post and believe me I'm in a similar position as you, I had a great childhood but the last 8 years alot of s**t happened. traumatic events, living hell and much more. anyway welcome to wp

Hi Derek,

I didn't get the Aspie label until quite late in life and had already learned to live with it. You're still young and you will find that as you get older you will get used to the condition.
