Hello; wishing everyone well!
A week ago I was unaware of AS; after reading of the plight of that little kindergarten boy in Florida I'm keenly aware of it. I might be an Aspie.
We certainly have a lot in common.
Having AS would certainly explain a lot of life experiences of mine that seem like so many awkwardly-timed non-sequiters. Some of them are embarrassing and painful and some are just, well, funny.
I took the test that's posted on a thread somewhere on WP; scored 104 out of 200 on the Aspie scale and 114 out of 200 on the NT scale. Dunno what to make of it other than Aspie is a possibility. I don't believe I will seek a real diagnosis, but plan to apply some lessons from here and elsewhere, as if I am, and see if it makes a difference.
I'm 45 and most of the issues have been dealt with to a large degree, but I suppose that there is still time and reason to change.
