I've struggled less to understand the world since discovering that I have Asperger's. Things are less complex once understood in a context that I'm slightly out of phase with the rest of humanity.

What parts are you struggling with?

There's a few of us here. *cough* Actually a few months ago I was shocked to find out how many posters here I thought were men were really women. Then I remembered how in many sites women disguise themselves or else they get pestered.

Yep.
Stick around & read the threads here, you'll find plenty addressing "female with ASD" situation.

Hi aspiewoman2 welcome

From a very happy and proud aspie woman, there really are lots more of us

I was only diagnosed last year and just starting to make sense of things:

Female and strange, thank you very much.

I struggle with the real world all the time.
But slowly, I've been learning to adapt to what the standard is.
I like to think of it as code breaking.
Learning the way to act, its like a game.
And can be fun.

One of my most reason discoveries thats helped me a lot, is that when you don't want to look at some one's eyes, you can look at their lashes, or their eye brows, or that part inbetween the eyes, or their glasses, and they feel happy.
Because they think you are looking at their eyes.
And you feel happy, because you don't have to.
:D

I just HAD to share that.

Another aspie woman? Great. Don't you see that it belongs to men only? Please get out now or people are going to start poking and prodding more female species to discover why women are overlooked.

Just kidding. Welcome to Wp. I too am an aspy female although other days I feel more HFA.
