*Edit- So after looking back over the standard questioneer I dont think i have very much info on myself here, LOL. So heres the longer version... I was diagnosed with aspergers 2 years ago and it was actualy a major relief to find out this disorder existed because I finaly had reasons for why i am the way i am. All growing up I never had more than 1 or 2 friends a year and they usualy wernt even good friends but more like people that allowed me to follow them around the playground. I spent most of my childhood in my room drawing or playing with legos alone. When i tell people this they say i had a lonely childhood but honestly i cannot remember ever realy wishing i had others to play with. I am truely content with being by myself and not talking to anyone.

I have extream awkwardness talking to people and deffinetly looking people in the eye. There are very few people i feel comfortable around. Even members of my family make me anxious to talk to. My biggest problems seem to be in the work place. While i can get through the unplesant effects of aspergers while talking to friends and family, people that i love, dealing with people at work that i dont even like to begin with seems absolutely impossible. One of my major goals for myself is to train my mind to handle itself in situations like this.

Welcome, Adam. Are you a major Harry Potter (the character) fan, or do you, like me, think he's a bit of a stuck-up with a very high opinion of himself? I like Luna and Hermione, myself. Ron's a complete as*hole. I particularly dislike the bit at the end of the Half-Blood Prince, when Harry breaks up with Ginny and gives an excuse of "don't want my friends getting hurt". I mean really, he's pushing the self-sacrificing hero act to its limits. Really crappy character development that, from Rowling.
Adam, what makes you think Will didn't have Aspergers? Just because he had other problems, does not preclude him from having Aspergers, as he stated. Many of us have co-morbid conditions along with autism. Some of his problems were clearly enhanced by the medication he was taking. I'm glad I have such an aversion to medications, they're bad news. I'm a big believer in self-control, and that medications are not always the best medicine.

HI!

Yea, the HBP was my least favorate book to date. Its almost as if Rowling took notes from all the fan fiction love triangle stories on the internet and threw in the cheesyest parts. My favorate character by far is loona lovegood. and favorate book still remains "the prisoner of azkaban". The first HP movie was good in my opinion, but i cant even bring myself to watch the other two again. The third movie had a completely butchered storyline, especialy sense they cut out the entire marauders backstory. It only would have taken 5 minutes but aparently harry flying on a hippogriff for 10 minutes was more important.

as for Will, I duno, I just assosiate aspergers with submission and powerlessness. It seemed very strange that someone with aspergers would 'snap' like that and go on the offensive. Though now that i think about it I'v deffinetly had my fair share of fantasizing about such things when i was that age. But honestly i know im not capable of acting out in rage. Its just not in me.

I actually disliked Harry most in the Order of the Phoenix. He was far worse in that book than in the Half-blood Prince. His self-sacrificing hero act was even worse there than here! His ego was massive, and it needed a check. Unfortunately, his causing the death of Sirius because he considered himself to be the only one with magical power and brains, failed to do so.
He is really naive and horribly angsty. Its obvious to the rest of us that his father and Sirius were hardly the nice guys Harry believes them to be. They were utter bullies; Harry ought to know better how cruel bullies are. My sympathies are with Snape. Despite the conclusion of HBP, I still think Snape is on the side of good. For starters, why, if Dumbledore trusted Snape so implicitly, would he have been frightened when Snape first appeared on the tower? He wouldn't, he would still have believed Snape at that stage. Either Dumbledore knew that Snape had made the Unbreakable Vow, and that he had to kill Dumbledore, or he and Snape were in collusion.
I very much doubt that any of the HP trio, Hermione Ron or Harry, will ever have the power to kill Snape or Voldemort. If both of them were evil, who could ever stand up to them? Voldemort alone was almost impossible to kill the first time around. Personally, I think that either Dumbledore is not dead, or Snape and Voldemort will face off at some stage.
