Does anybody know wtf this emu egg, toucan, whatever business means? I'm really more the pitbull type.

It depends on the amount of posts, it will change as you keep on posting. I see some people have customized things written there but I don't know how to do that, actually I'm quite interested :wink:

The ranks have to do with birds except Velociraptor which is technically a dinosaur. Once you get to 1,000 posts, you can have a custom rank.

The ranks are listed in the FAQs in the WrongPlanet.net discussion forum. It also tells you how to make a custom rank when you have enough posts. There are rules in the General Autism Discussion forum. I wish they would make these things easier for the newbies to find.

There are actually two dinosaurs in the ranks, but since birds evolved from dinosaurs it fits. :)

Welcome.

The ranks change pretty quickly for the first several, but taper off a bit after awhile. You only have to get 5 or 10 or so to get past the emu egg stage.

I think Alex like the bird/dinosaur idea for ranks for many reasons I guess.

To just-me: I like the concept of Wrong Planet. They say we have a ''disorder''. We're OK- we just got off at the wrong stop!
And how do you do that thing where you pick out the thing someone said that you want to respond to, and put it in a little box?
If you think I'm incoherent here, you should try talking to me in real life?
