I'm a n00b.
I'm an 18 year old girl, and i just got a confirmed diagnosis of Aspergers this week.
I won't bore you guys anymore, just wanted to say hi.
Welcome! Hope you do let us know more about yourself.
I remember 18. Mine was tough. I am an orphan and was living on my own since I was 17. Life is good now. I hope your 18 is going well. I find knowing that I have AS to have made my life better. Hope it does the same for you.
Thanks for the welcomes guys.
I've been living on my own since i was 16, it was through my own choice though. Did you enjoy the independence? I think that's the best thing about it, as long as your able to ask for help when you need it.
I hope it helps too, since the diagnosis i've just been reading up about it..and it seems to explain a lot and i don't feel quite so alone.
I had very little help. I got myself through college on scholarship, loans, work study, and some welfare at first, then social security when my dad died. I am too independent, maybe, also very responsible.
Are you in school? Will you go to college? What are you doing now?
