I dunno how you all feel about me being on here, as Im an ESE (exceptional student education) teacher and I dont have any form of Aspergers.. nor am I autistic..

Im 24.. Im a support facilitator at an A+ high school here in South Florida.. basically.. I get to go around and visit about 15 different kids several times a week in their classes and see how theyre doing..

Because Im fairly young, a lot of the kids come to me about stuff they wouldnt normally talk to a regular 'teacher' or 'adult' about.. heheh its pretty cool.. :)

the reason why im here is... well.. to learn more.. to learn more about my students in a more informal environment...reading formal stuff out of text books and articles gets old after awhile.. heheh

anyways, i hope im welcome here.. great place.. :)

Alicia

Welcome, Alicia.

I hope you enjoy reading though the forums and decide to stick around. Questions regarding school often come up in the school forum and the parent's forum. Your feedback would be very welcome.

You're welcome here. It's good to spread knowledge and experiences to people who aren't on the spectrum.

Welcome Alicia,
I am also a teacher working with children on the autistic spectrum, I'd bet we could learn a lot from each other. I happen to be an aspie.

Welcome...I'm a mental health therapist who works with kids, and also an aspie myself...feel free to ask me any questions here in the forums, or by PM if you think my input would be valuable to you.

Also, I noticed that your profile lists you as "Have Aspergers-Diagnosed" you might want to fix that, just so everybody knows what's what.

again welcome.

I love working with the kids, and the staff.
I try to trouble shoot behaviors with the other teachers as much as possible.

Sometimes, if you are using a scroll wheel mouse, the drop down box will still be active when you scroll to the next item, thus changing your response. It's annoying, but there is not a good way to fix it. It can be prevented by clicking outside the box before scrolling.

Welcome. There are great people here.
