I stumbled accross this forum entirely on accident looking for groups in my area. I'm actually not an Aspie, at least I don't think...I was diagnosed PDD-NOS, which is apparently close. Plus I have ADHD and a learning disabilty. My name is Melinda but I often use Mel online. I'm 24, from the south Chicago suburban area, and trying to get back into college; I'd like to study Information Science. But first I have to find a job so I have the money. And believe me, it's not easy; I've been looking for a few months now.

Mel

Welcome, and good luck with the job hunt.
You could always apply as a Teaching Assistant for children with disabilities.

I'd recommend finishing off a general associates at a local 2-year university (something transferable though, not ITT or DeVry) and then take that to a 4 year degree. That's what I did and so far with 3 classes remaining I've been able to pay my way through for the most part. As for information science or information systems that's definitely a good degree, you'll wanna ground that though in either IT/CIS or accounting.
