Hi, earlier this year I registered here with some nick I cant remmeber, Ive been looking for it and for my topics but gave up, my horrible memory betrayed me.
so...let's repeat: I'm a non-typical NeuroTypical and found this forum one day when I started reading about AS thinking someone very close to me may have it (still dont know if Im right or not but who really cares if our relationship is lovely....Im being disgustingly cheesy at the moment)
and...I dont really know what to say, just that there are many things here that are similar to me and Id like to share my opinions aswell :D

Hi There,

When I read what you wrote, it clarifies these point for me:

There's a fine line between one who is "Aspie," on the Autistic Spectrum and one who is "Neurotypical." One might be Aspie under one standard, Neurotypical under another. One might be Aspie one day, Neurotypical another. One might be in an Aspie mood, or a Neurotypical mood.

I feel the individual person, and how one experiences the individual, is what counts in the end, rather than generalities. I feel that many who are deemed "Aspie" merely are people whom "normal" people find irritating owing to their "esoteric" interests and their narrow focus upon these interests. Perhaps they can't distinguish the salad fork from the "regular" fork when they eat at a fancy restaurant--that sends the "wrong" signals. "Normal" people tend to find these traits irritating, thus effectively marginalizating those with these traits--thus deeming them 'different," hence "disordered."

I am Aspie in the sense that I tend to be "long-winded."

Again, Welcome to WP!
