I don't know what to put. Diagnosed with HFA last year - in the passive group. Work in a library. Read and write in my spare time. Love poetry. Starting to get interested in information management theory. Favourite food is strawberries. Favourite music is Sigur Ros and Phillip Glass. Favourite artist is Marcel Duchamp. Nice to meet you.

Hej!

Another Melbournian here. Welcome to the Forums :)

How do you get to work in a library these days?
It's a job I'd enjoy doing, but it seems quite hard get into.
And if you did a course, where did you do it, and were they any good?

L.

You work in a library? I am seething with jealousy. I'm trying to write a novel at the moment, and I enjoy reading. Greetings from the Gold Coast! :)

I kind of fell into my job by accident. I'm doing a traineeship in Library/Information services. When I've completed that, I can get a Diploma in Library/Information services, which qualifies me to work as a library technician. You can also do courses at university in librarianship, which I'll probably do eventually. But I came at it from a fairly roundabout route.

Thanks, I knew about the diploma but I didn't know they had traineeships.
