Hi everyone. I'm new here... :P

I was wondering if anyone else, ever have had the feeling, of getting "back to the world"...
I will explain:

I recently read (A LOT) about aspergers syndrome, and thougt i fit in there.
I could recognize a lot of the things in myself.
Now i just had a REALLY great feeling of "getting back to the world".
Like i'v been gone and passive for a lot of years and now are back.
I'v now feel like i once did as a child (im 17) again, and i LOVE it.
I'm all hyperactive and so on.... :D

I really hope anyone can relate to this... I don't know if it's because i now found the "place where i belong" or what, but i'm happy and thought i would really share this with you guys...

I have stong interests in computers and other electronics, and im playing the guitar.
I love to hear music, and really feel it, those great feelings the music gives me.

I'm sorry if im to straight-forward, or seems hyper right now........ but im just so happy...

Not from the very beginning, because my first encounter with Asperger's was in a forum (I don't remember the name) where the Aspies were very negative and blamed themselves for "offending people". They also told me that they didn't think I had AS, based on what I shared, which confused me even more. The whole experience was negative for me and made me feel even guiltier than I'd ever been. So I forgot about it, though AS remained as a possibility in the back of my mind.

Then someone directed me to the article on Wikipedia, which I strongly identified with, and from there I came here, where I've felt at home and elated as you express. I love the attitude here where members don't engage all day in lamenting how flawed we are and how much we upset the poor NTs that have to suffer us.

This place has taught me things I had never been exposed to for even a split second: self-pride, dignity, the value of enjoying life even if alone.

So yes, ever since I've been in WP I've been happy - and I know what you mean about that state of mind where you totally enjoy the music.

You...well no one...has any idea how happy I am to finally be among people who are similar to me and i too feel this same sense of belonging! It's fantastic. I get like that when I'm happy, you're not alone.

It is amazing to actually read my own (or at least materially similar) experiences after so long of not encountering others who not even are prepared to take such experiences seriously, much less have had similar experiences themselves.

Hi TheSpecialKid welcome to the "right" planet 8O  :alien:

Being "hyperactive" has lots of advantages as I have found myself, so great you have a positive outlook as far to many NTs want to suppress what they can not handle :D

I, also, was extremely happy to find out there were others like myself.

Welcome to WP! :)
