Greetings, my fellow semi-retards . I can best introduce myself as a Christian animator in training. I'm also a yellow belt in Kung Fu San Soo, the deadliest martial art in the history of the universe. I'm an avid movie buff with a love for music. I love studying Theology, especially Eschatology. I've been aware of my AS for a couple of years now, and have come a long way in controling it.

*pounces you and bites you*
-this is a happy greeting.
Welcome to WP ^_^

Although you may want to not refer to people here as semi-retards. My group refers to themselves as nerds, and wear it as a badge of pride, but others may not see it that way.

Anyway, nice to have ya a board ^_^.

I get the semi-retard joke, but maybe it should be downplayed I can see how others may take offense.

Animator huh? I've known a few animators. Interesting crowd. My ex used to work on "The simpsons". I find it strange how large groups of pagans and christians somehow co-exist in the same industry. Are you studying traditional animation or 3D stuff?

Kung fu, movie buff, animator in training, do you like anime? because I'm a big anime fan. The movies, not the cheap stuff kid watch. I like movies like "Akira", "Ghost in the shell", "Princess Mononoke"... "Cowboy bebop" is an awesome series.

Anyhow, welcome.

Pete

I thought it would be okay if I use the first-person plural.

I've been working with Flash, but I plan on studying 3D animatin as soon as I complete the necessary courses. I'd like to use both 3D and 2D animation in my career, because I believe 2D animation still has potential yet to be explored, but I'm not sure if that will work out. You can see a six minute cartoon I made here: http://www.shsu.edu/~stdcjj15
It was my first animation longer than ten seconds, so the animation's crappy, and the sound is outrageously distorted.

do you like anime?

Not as much as I used to. I do like Ghost In the Shell, Princess Mononoke, Cowboy Bebop, and a less popular one called Berserk. My biggest problem with animes is the stiffness of the characters. They obviously focus more on detail than fluent movements, but that often limits the character's emotions to neutural and over-the-top, with no smooth transitions between the two, breaking any connection you may have had for the character. I do like their tendency to go for more mature, psychological cartoons of an epic scale, and I'd like to improve on this idea during my career.

Oh, yeah? The late Grandmaster Jimmy Wu once chopped a Hamster Master's head off with a rose petal! Still think it's no match?

Semi-retard eh? *whips out his vast collection of pointy things and hides them behind his back* I prefer "nerd" or "geek" or even "freak-show" my dear fellow.
