A member of my family has asperger syndrome and while i am honestly not of the conviction that i have it i certainly need to understand the condition.

What exactly is thisd website??

It's just a social site for people who are on the autistic spectrum and their family or friends. Some times people just talk about issues related to problems they are having because of how other people treat aspies and some like to talk about video games, music, art or their other interests . Pretty much like any social site except that a lot of people here are interested in learning about how to deal with being aspie in an neurotypical world and some are just wondering f they might be aspie because there isn't much information about it, (or a lot of really mis-information about it)...especially for adults .

I don't know how much you know about aspergers but it is genetic, so even family members who are not "aspie" can be considered "boarder-line and have Some aspie traits .

What this isn't...is a place to try and "cure" people just because their brains are wired differently . Most of us happen to believe it's not a bad thing to be aspie even if it can be hard some-times .

I didn't say I wanted to cure people or anything.

I said i wanted informatuion. What do you think i am?? One of those who believe they've been put on the world to save people from imaginary illnesses??

So yeah. I've heard the genetic thing. It#s not proven althogh i probably have it.

Thanks lol. Some weirdo calling themselves lau has told me i must change it as i am swearing.

However-technically- i wrote an f with asterixes. It ain't swearing. And so i told him to get a life.
