My name is Haley. I'm 13 years old, and I love manga, anime, singing, and art. I was diagnosed with Aspergers last year. I was upset at first, but I have learned to embrace it. I still have little kinks, but they make me who I am. I am no longer socially awkward, and I have learned to make use of my Aspergers, by using my singing talent and the gift I have of understanding people (my doctor says those two things come with what I have). What is your Aspergers story? I can't wait to meet you all! :wink:

Hi Haley and welcome to the wrongplanet. I was diagnosed a few months ago. It came as no surprise to me after having learned about Asperger's before. I always knew I was eccentric. You said you embrace Asperger's---and I do too. I would not want to give it up. Like you, I love my interests.

I am a 44 year old gifted instructor at a public high school. Since many of my talented and gifted students share certain traits as Asperger's people, I relate very well to them---and them to me. My main interest is music---keyboards, dulcimers, trombone, etc. I am a church organist and am beginning a ministry of music on the hammered dulcimer at local area churches. I am also an avid roller coaster enthusiast. I love house plans and many other things. One of my main passions is writing---I am currently trying to write a novel encompassing my interests.

I hope you find the wrongplanet informative and interesting. Don't hesitate to coorespond if you want. Enjoy.

As you post more messages, your emu egg will change to other things. I don't remember the order, but I think a butterfly might be next, then a hummingbird. Then when you get to 500 posts you can pick your own title.
