I think he has AS, need more opinions.
Q. How would you feel about AS if you had it?
A. Well, I'd accept it as part of the way I am
Q. How do you feel about smoke/smoking?
A. I can't stand the smell of cigarettes tbh...and smoking marijuana is against my code of ethics if that is what you were also getting at
Q. Were you able to whistle at a young age?
A. I'm not sure if I was able to - I don't remember whistling at a young age anyway.
Q. When you stare someone in the eyes what do you see?
A. My vision blurs, and I get uncomfortable until I can look away
Q. Have you ever had a girlfriend/boyfriend?
A. No
Q. Do you get along with most of the people you meet?
A. No, I rarely ever find someone whom I can relate to - pretty much only the hardcore gamers like yourself
Q. Do you feel like the main character in your life?
A. No, I feel more like an observer
Q. Do you have an average, above average, or below average IQ?
A. I don't know my IQ
Q. Are you left handed, right handed, or write with both?
A. I write with my right hand, but it's basically random with anything else
Q. Do you enjoy sarcasm?
A. It depends on the situation and the type of sarcasm. If it's an obvious joke, then it's good - in fact I use some of that myself. What really annoys me is when people deliberately lie/say the opposite of the truth in response to a question or just as a random statement
Q. Are you a liberal or a conservative?
A. independent
Q. If you think you have asperger's do you think it makes you who you are?
A. -previously answered-
Q. What does coffee and other caffeinated drinks do to you?
A. They make me hyper and creative....then I'm fatigued but can't sleep....
Q. Do you get déjà vu, if so how do you feel towards it?
A. Yes, and I actually had perfect memories of dreams where the experiences came from. I actually think about this question often...
The mroe logical explanation is that we think of things and then they coincidentally happen while the thoughts are still in our memory, and the alternative is that we are receiving messages from other dimensions
Q. What were you like as a baby? (Stories from parents would answer this)
A. I taught myself to read before I learned how to walk, and the first words I used were labels on familiar objects - this I know for sure because my mom tells that story very often.
Q. Do you make new year's resolutions and if so do you keep them? (two-part)
A. Yes, and not usually
Q. How do you deal with emotions and what emotions are most common for you? (two answers required)
A. For the more positive emotions, I tend to become hyperactive. If I'm alone I'll start running around, but if not I'll get on the computer because that's when all my good ideas usually come to me (IDK how to explain this) (continued)
For the more negative emotions (ie. depression, anxiety) I tend to draw inside myself and pace around while thinking about everything that is wrong
Q. What were you like and how were you treated in early years of school? (two-part and from grades K-4 are best)
A. My most common emotions besides being 'normal' are depression and anxiety
I was wild in elementary school and was teased (or just ignored) by classmates. I remember that I tried to choose people as friends without getting to know them, and I would hug and kiss girls without their permission... I was rejected, spent recesses pacing around the playground because I sucked at sports. In 4th grade, it got worse and specific people started to be persistant in bullying (cont.)
, and I exploded on one of them and told them I would bring a gun to school and kill them....had a long conversation with the principal ofc and went to counseling groups for the rest of the school year.
My only friends were two people I played video games (PS1 & N64) with. :/
Q. Do you feel that animals make more sense in the things they do than humans?
A. Animals make a lot more sense because their behavior is entirely instinctual without much/(any?) thought put into it. With human behavior, there are many, many factors to consider because humans have cognitive thinking abilities
A cat will adapt to a home and its brain's internal clock will keep it on a tight daily schedule to the point where its every move can be predicted
Humans desire and need change on the other hand to avoid boredom
Q. Are you confident you answered most of these questions as an aspie?
A. That would depend on whether or not I am an aspie, wouldn't it?

I asked the less obvious questions to see if he had the smaller symptoms of AS.

How do most aspies respond to caffein? I have like no effect at all from it.

Well from what I know there is no single reaction but it effects most aspies differently than NTs, my friend and I have the same reaction and he has AS but not many others have the same reaction.

He has the high introversion, the attention to detail, the social anxiety and awkwardness, a high interest in a particular subject (hardcore gamer) and best relates to people who share that interest, and like many an Aspie, maltreatment during the grade school years. From his answers he sounds like he's an intelligent character as his answers are quite specific, and I'm guessing from his answer about sarcasm that he has a tendency to take things literally. Depression is common too. That's what I get out of it, though just take note that I have no qualifications to professionally diagnose AS, and it'd probably come easier if I knew him in person.
Have you done any reading on diagnostic criteria? If you do a search for Tony Attwood, you should find more specific and pointed criteria, and that'll help you more. One of the quirks of diagnosing AS is that the patient isn't more qualified to be diagnosed under a different condition (social anxiety disorder, PPD, hyperlexia, which can all look a bit similar to AS).
Interesting interview though
Is the discomfort with eye-contact relatively distinctively AS or are there several other conditions like PPD that also have that symptom?
Alright well I think he has it so my mind is at ease at least.
