Hello my name is Wendy, I was diagnosed with Aspergers early last year, but had an idea that I was on the spectrum a couple of years before that.
I live in rural Victoria, and have just been put on a disability pension because of my sensory sensitivity.
I am not sure what else to write
If anyone can I would appreciate communicating with others who have sensory sensitivities and how if at all you have managed to cope...
I am not seeing anyone for my aspergers/sensory sensitivity other than a local GP who specialises in Aspie stuff...It's far to expensive to see a psychologist and I don't want to go near a Psychiatrist.

I know what you mean when you say "It's far to expensive to see a psychologist and I don't want to go near a Psychiatrist." and even if you could afford to its finding the right one, well one that understands people on the autism spectrum - still your from Aussie and at least you have "Tony Attwood" if can afford :wink:

Hi wendy, im in NSW and all i needed was a mental health plan/referral from my local doctor to see a terriffic psychologist that was bulk billed.Not sure if vic have the same thing or similar but its woth a look into.Ive just been diagnosed with Aspergers and anxiety disorder in less than an hour with my psych on my first visit.Im applying for dSP so i hope i go ok.
